Outstanding pianist and drummer Áron Tálas has already released two trio albums on BMC Records in recent years, both rooted in tradition, yet deeply original. His long awaited first solo piano album came out in 2022. Blue Enough is composed of songs that could have been written by a singer-songwriter. "I've always had a great respect for songwriters in the 'classical sense', like Lennon and McCartney, James Taylor, Nick Drake, or, of the current generation, Sufjan Stevens, John Mayer, the completely different Aaron Parks, or the mood-setter Ólafur Arnalds. Their influence is perhaps most apparent on this record," he told the Recorder magazine in early 2022, when Blue Enough became available on streaming platforms. The album has been available on CD since January this year, and to mark the occasion of performing the repertoire on the Fazioli piano at the Opus Jazz Club, Aron will not only be playing material for the album, but also some of his other compositions, as well as free improvisations.
