Dániel Szabó is an award-winning jazz pianist and composer currently residing in Los Angeles. His original compositions show multiple influences: the jazz idiom, the works of several classical masters – with a special emphasis on Béla Bartók –, and the hints of Eastern European folklore are all implemented in his musical language. Known for always working with the most inspiring artists, his latest album, A Song From There(2014) features drum legend Peter Erskine and Edwin Livingston. For this performance at Opus Jazz Club, he is joined by an equally amazing rhythm section with Luca Alemanno on bass and Vladimir Kostadinovic on drums.
