Klára Hajdu is an outstanding singer-songwriter and teacher of Hungarian jazz life. The editors of MagyarJazz magazine and the readers of Jazzma chose her as the 'Singer of the Year in 2021' as well. She has performed in many major cities in Europe and the US. She sang with the popular Balázs Elemér Group for almost a decade. Her own quartet has been a recognized band in the jazz profession for 14 years. Their music is streamed in more than 30 countries outside Hungary, and all their albums have been distributed in Japan. Their album Plays Standards Dedicated to Chet Baker was nominated for a Fonogram Award in 2017 in the 'Hungarian Jazz Album of the Year' category. In 2020, they recorded their third album, Journey, which was commissioned by a Japanese label shortly after its release, and a few months later became a Fonogram nominee in the 'Hungarian Jazz Album of the Year' category.
In the spring, their new album entitled Fúvom az énekem will be released, in which Klára's favorite Hungarian folk songs can be heard in the usual sound of the quartet. This time the guest of the band will be Mihály Borbély, Kossuth and Liszt Ferenc Prize winner clarinetist, saxophonist.
