Alexander von Schlippenbach is a living legend of free jazz and avant-garde music, whose piano playing harmoniously combines elements of free improvisation and contemporary classical music. During his career, he has founded numerous bands and worked with such outstanding musicians as Evan Parker and Paul Lovens. This evening, he will be joined by internationally renowned members of the younger generation of Hungarian jazz: Péter Ajtai is a defining figure on the Hungarian avant-garde music scene, who breaks with tradition and conventions to create music with a unique sound, while Attila Gyárfás is known for his passion for free improvisation and the search for unique sounds. The concert is therefore a special occasion to hear one of the most significant figures in European jazz history live, in the company of two leading representatives of the Hungarian free music scene.
