The band Szaturma was founded between the Czech and the Slovak borders in 2017. It offers an unusual instrumentation (guitar, saxophone and drums). Its repertoire is predominantly focused on original compositions of all band members, stretching its eclectic style towards variety of musical spaces, such as contemporary jazz, minimalism, grunge, free improvisation, avant-garde or sound-art. So far the band has toured the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Israel playing in different venues such as jazz clubs, festivals of contemporary music or site-specific events.

The concept of this Trio ignores both limits of genre categories and the slightly ossified jazz form. The result is a lively and communicative music with considerable portion of improvising, as well as an apparent plan to create a specific mood in every single composition" - wrote Vilém Spilka, musician, artistic director of the JazzFestBrno festival.
