The main musical inspirations of Dániel Varga, the 28-year-old Hungarian saxophonist, arranger and composer are very diverse – from hard-bop and modal jazz, through fusion and rock music of the 70s to contemporary jazz and pop music. These inspirations led to his current quintet which he considers a "dream team" of players. The Quintet plays contemporary jazz based on modern mainstream jazz, with lyrical and free musical influences.
This concert was supported, in line with the Government decree 1290/ 2020. (VI.5) related to cultural institutions, in order to ease the economic difficulties caused by the Covid19 pandemic.
