Israeli born bass player, producer and composer, Liran Donin, is currently touring his debut album 8 Songs out on Cavalo Records to some rave reviews (Best 10 Jazz Albums of 2018 by The Guardian, 10 Best Releases of 2018 by Jazzwise magazine). With Liran’s distinctive powerhouse groove and his virtuosic approach to electric and double bass, his innovative sound brings together both his long-standing involvement at the forefront of the jazz music scene alongside his musical background.

Donin has worked alongside an array of cutting edge artists and bands spanning a wide musical spectrum such as Led Bib, Polar Bear, Shabaka Hutchings, Mulatu Astatke, Chrissie Hynde etc. His exciting and high energy band, 1000 Boats, featuring world class musicians as Josh Arcoleo (Mark Guiliana) tenor sax, Chris Williams (Let Spin) alto sax, Maria Chiara Argiro (These New Puritans) piano and Ben Brown (Waaju) on drums, were met with standing ovations at recent sold out gigs across the UK and Europe and currently is preparing to release a live album recorded in Nijmegen Music Meeting Jazz Festival with its first single to see light in 22/11/2019.
